Members of the Winchester Quaker community talk about their experience of coming to meeting.
Watch this short four minute video to learn why we come to Winchester meeting, and what we value about doing so. The richness of our community lies in our diversity, and the deep acceptance with which we hold each other whilst we journey together to each discover our own unfolding truths. As the aptly named Religious Society of Friends, some of us choose more traditional Christian language to express this, some prefer the images and expressions of other faith traditions, and for some the very use of the word 'God' might be problematic. We learn to hold such differences with gentle loving kindness in the gathered stillness and non dogmatic space which is at the heart of Quaker Meeting.
